Duh!

This morning as usual I'm in a rush to drop off the kids. So on the way back home I think to myself a white mocha sounds so good. I knew I had some cash in my wallet so I head to Starbucks. I drive up to the intercom and give them my order. I then realize OMG! I don't have my wallet and let the young man know. How embarrassing. I felt so dumb! So now I'm stuck in the drive thru and have to wait in embarrassment. I wish I had the pregnant mom excuse but I don't. It was just no thinking thats all! So I give myself a big DUH!I got home, cleaned my French press, and made my own cappuccino. It was pretty good, and free!

Open The Door and Let Him In

My response is to get down on my knees before the Father. This magnificent Father who parcels out all heaven and earth. I ask him to strengthen you by his Spirit. Not a brute strength, but a glorious inner strength. That Christ will live in you as you open the door and invite him in. And I ask him that with both feet planted firmly on love, you'll be able to take in with all Christians that extravagant dimension of Christ's love. Reach out and experience the breadth! Test its length! Plumb the depths! Rise to the heights! Live full lives, full in the fullness of God. God can do anything, you know-far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us. Ephesians 3:14-20

I came across this in my quiet time today. Isn't God amazing. Open the door and let Him in. Let Him into your heart and let Him show you the extravagant dimensions of his love.

Strike Update!

So this morning the Los Angeles Times printed an article stating, So. Cal. Gas Comp. has reached a tentative agreement to avert the strike. It was so exciting to see my husband this morning jump up and down shouting with joy " Thank you Jesus!" We are truly thankful to God who continues to show us that he is in control. Please continue to keep Duane and his coworkers in your prayers, as we wait and see what will unfold.
