Been Busy

I haven't blogged in a bout a week. We have been pretty busy. I have kept up with my walking at least 3 times a week. We are still on the hunt for a house, and of course I have been sewing. Not to say keeping the house clean and hosting/leading a small group. I feel like I need a vacation. I got to go to Jo-Ann's today and that sort of felt like a little getaway. I asked Carissa if she wanted to go with me and she refused. I was shocked she is my little shopping buddy and today she told me "No mom that's OK You go and have some private time." I thought that was so sweet. How did she know I needed some private time? So here are a few things that I have made lately. One more note check out my friend Cindy's blog she has started making some very cute things. Her blog is mythreelittlebirds.blogspot.com

Reversable Sundress

I have been in need of some summer clothes for Lily. We just recently had a birthday party for her and received a lot of summer clothes. One gift we got was a gift card from my Brother to Joann's. What a great brother!
So today I took a walk with Lily to Joann's to get some more snack bag material. I got some and it hit me. I have a summer dress pattern at home. Many years ago when Carissa was a baby, I made her some summer dresses and why not make some for Lily. So here it is. I made it reversible and found some great fabric. I love the colors!

I can't wait till Friday payday! I can go and get some more fabric.
Good thing there is a sale this weekend.

Bandanna Dress

I recently saw a post from a great blog that I follow, www.joyshope.com. She posted a very cute blog on a bandanna dress that she made for her daughter. I took the great idea and changed it a little. I found some very cute light pink bandanna's, turquoise ribbon and buttons. I had some rick rack so I added it to the bottom and wah la! This is what the end product looks like.

Every person the Father gives me eventually comes running to me.
